The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Teacher Supervisor position, located at the new Juvenile Type 1 Facility, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This position functions as the Academic Education Supervisor with primary responsibility for providing direct supervision to assigned academic and education office staff, the development and supervision of Special Education programs. Oversees the establishment and maintenance of the school climate, enforcement of school rules and implement disciplinary measures when necessary. This position also assists in the overall operation and supervision of the facility education’s programs: develops, coordinates, manages, and evaluates a variety of other comprehensive education programs as assigned by the Juvenile Education Director; assists in development and administration of the DJC Graduation Policy; and assumes responsibility of the day-to-day operation of the Education Department in the absence of the Juvenile Education Director.
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-03 a starting rate of $37.50/hour - $45.67/hour, plus excellent benefits. This position may receive supplemental pay, up to $2.97/hr., for additional credits relevant to the position that are over and above the credits needed for certification. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
