Artisan Stone is a long-established locally owned and operated business based in Christchurch specializing in the fabrication of a range of granite, marble, engineered stone and porcelain projects for New Zealand’s best designers, joiners, and builders. We are looking for an experienced operator (Waterjet, CNC or CNC Saw) with a strong eye for craftsmanship and detail to join our Christchurch workshop. This is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime available depending on operational needs. Key responsibilities: * Preparing and positioning slabs for cutting. * Performing quality checks on slabs before cutting. * Ensuring batch-matched slabs are used where required. * Vein matching jobs for premium results on high-end projects. Skills/ Experience: We are looking for someone who: * Has previous experience operating either a Waterjet or CNC/CNC Saw (Stone Industry preferred). * Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship. * Is a proactive team player with a strong work ethic. * Has knowledge of stone materials such as granite, marble, porcelain (a plus). * Can interpret and understand joinery and design plans.
