Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Job Description

STEP Academy is seeking a Full-Time Middle School Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6–8)
STEP Academy is a K-12 destination charter school located in St. Paul (K-12) and Burnsville (K-10), Minnesota that serves a student body primarily made up of first-generation Somali/East African students. STEP Academy ensures all students are nurtured and empowered to use their personal attributes and acquired knowledge to have the choice to participate in early college entrance through the Minnesota PSEO program. The school boasts a leadership team and school board that listen to and support their teachers and staff, believing that you are a person first and an educator second.

Why STEP Academy? Be part of a system where your leaders honestly believe you are a PERSON FIRST (mentally healthy, a daughter/son/child, a husband/wife/partner, a parent, a friend) and a teacher second. At STEP Academy, it is okay to prioritize your family and your mental health and be honest about it.
