Job Description

Great Adjusting is actively looking to hire a Seasonal Claims Inspector to join our claims team.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who is personable, organized, comfortable being in the field, and interested in learning the property insurance claims industry. You will work alongside our claims team as we help homeowners properly document and move their insurance claims forward.

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Claims Inspector is to thoroughly document property damage during mutual inspections with insurance company adjusters.

Most of your day will be spent in the field, either outdoors at properties or driving to inspections. You will be provided with a company truck, tools, and safety equipment needed to perform the job properly.

This is a hands-on role that requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and members of our internal team.

Responsibilities

  • Attend property inspections with insurance company adjusters
  • Document property damage thoroughly and accurately
  • Take photos and gather information needed for the claim file
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and insurance representatives
  • Use company-provided tools, truck, and safety equipment responsibly
  • Work closely with the Great Adjusting claims team
  • Stay organized and ensure inspection information is properly reported
  • Continue learning the public adjusting and property claims process

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office/company vehicle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable climbing roofs
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Flexible schedule
  • Availability for late afternoons and weekends as needed
  • Professional attitude when dealing with clients and insurance representatives

Pay & Training

This position starts at $15 per hour while you shadow one of our experienced inspectors and complete training.

Within approximately 3-5 weeks, it is expected that you will be capable of handling solo inspections. Once approved for solo inspections, pay will increase to $20 per hour.

Great Adjusting will also sponsor the training and expenses necessary for the right candidate to become a licensed Public Insurance Adjuster. Our goal is to help you grow into a knowledgeable professional in the field of public adjusting and property insurance claims.
