Landcare is an operations unit within Facilities Management, responsible for campus design and maintenance. This position performs a variety of manual labor tasks under the supervision / instruction of a front line staff member on the U of MN Twin Cities campus.
The position will be required to drive University vehicles on campus and between campus facilities. Work may involve the use of various mechanized equipment requiring personal protective equipment (PPE). All required PPE will be provided by the employer. Depending on the tasks assigned, the position may be working independently or with a team.
Location and Work environment: This position works almost exclusively outdoors and is exposed to year-round weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain and snow.
Please note, this position is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship. This position does not offer a STEM OPT training program.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Facilities Management is a department within University Services which is composed of the departments and people who deliver the non-academic operations across the University of Minnesota system. Facilities Management (FM) is responsible for all buildings, grounds and the energy management needs of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.
