Schedule

• Night Shift
• Monday – Friday
• 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 5 Shifts per Week
• 42.5 Hours per Week
• Rotational weekends and holidays required
• On-call responsibilities included

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist – CT for a night shift contract assignment. The technologist will perform high-quality radiographic and CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and CT examinations under the direction of radiologists
• Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding imaging procedures
• Set appropriate exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Follow radiation safety and protection standards to minimize patient exposure
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions as needed
• Process imaging studies and maintain accurate documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Adhere to departmental procedures, protocols, and safety standards
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support patient care needs
• Ensure proper handling and use of imaging equipment at all times

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• Active New York State license/registration required
• Minimum 1 year of CT/MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
• Current knowledge of radiographic imaging procedures and equipment required
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance required

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety practices
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently during night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively document imaging procedures and patient information
