Position Summary
The Summer Tutoring Teacher provides targeted reading and ELA instruction to elementary students who need additional academic support. Instruction will focus on addressing skill gaps and preparing students for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide small group and/or one-on-one literacy instruction
- Deliver up to 8 hours of instruction per week, plus 1 hour of planning
- Use assessment data to target student learning needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate with families as needed regarding student progress
- Coordinate scheduling with families (virtual or in-person options)
Program Details
- Dates: June 8 – July 31 (8 weeks)
- Format: Virtual and/or in-person
- Students: K–5 (entering grades 1–6), targeted based on need
Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate (elementary preferred)
- Experience in literacy instruction and intervention
- Strong communication and organizational skills
