Position Summary:

Total Care Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers/Personal Assistants/Companions to provide essential support and companionship to our clients in their homes. This role focuses on providing personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Personal Care:
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices as needed.
• Assist with medication reminders.
• Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding.
• Companionship and Emotional Support:
• Engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to alleviate loneliness and isolation.
• Participate in recreational activities, such as reading, games, and outings.
• Household Assistance:
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
• Assist with grocery shopping and errands.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client.
• Transportation:
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• Documentation and Communication:
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and Total Care Home Care staff.
• Report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
• Adherence to Care Plans:
• Follow the customized care plan created for each individual client.
• Maintain client confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (must).
• Previous experience in caregiving or related field (preferred).
• Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
• Background check is required.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
