Job Summary:

The Car Wash Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of car wash equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. This role includes conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, completing repairs, and ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of all wash bays and backroom areas. The Car Wash Technician also handles chemical management and responds to service calls. This position requires travel, occasional weekends as needed and is responsible for supporting Eastern, PA market.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of car wash equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on car wash equipment and auxiliary backroom systems, including lights, pumps, solenoids, hoses, and related components.
  • Clean and maintain wash bays, floors, equipment areas, and backroom facilities to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
  • Move and transport chemical barrels safely and refill chemical holding tanks as required.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and complete timely repairs.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Respond to service calls, including after-hours and weekend requests, to ensure minimal downtime of the car wash operation.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members, vendors, and management to support ongoing operational needs.

ExperienceQualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Previous mechanical, maintenance, or technical experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds, including chemical barrels and equipment parts.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, and outdoor conditions as required by wash bay environments.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks and handling tools and equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders or work in elevated areas when necessary.
  • Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate, inspect, and repair equipment.
  • Ability to travel within designated territory.
