Our staff of recreational, club, high school, and NCAA coaches work collaboratively to pass on their experience and knowledge so swimmers can find success both in and out of the pool.

Job Summary

We are seeking energetic, dependable individuals to serve as Swim Academy Instructors and/or Lifeguards. Team members may work in one or both roles based on certification, interest, and scheduling needs.

This position is accountable for providing a safe, fun, inclusive, and professional environment for swimmers, parents, and fellow staff members.

Key Responsibilities

Swim Academy Instruction

• Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Follow lesson curriculum while adapting to individual swimmer needs
• Track and maintain swimmer progress and development
• Build swimmers’ aquatic confidence through positive reinforcement
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and members

Lifeguarding

• Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas
• Enforce facility safety rules and respond appropriately to incidents
• Be rescue-ready at all times while on deck
• Support a culture where safety is always the top priority

General Responsibilities

• Attend all required in-service trainings and staff meetings
• Model professionalism, reliability, and teamwork
• Contribute positively to the overall academy environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Passion for working with youth and promoting water safety
• Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, engaging attitude
• Minimum age: 15 years or older

Certifications

• Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
• Required for lifeguarding
• Ability to obtain certifications within 1 month if not currently certified

Compensation

• Part-time hourly wages starting at $17/hour, based on experience
• Opportunities for increased hours through dual Instructor/Lifeguard roles
