Job Description:

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to help design, build, secure, and scale the infrastructure that powers our SaaS platforms and API ecosystem. This role will play a critical part in improving deployment reliability, infrastructure automation, system observability, security, and engineering workflows as we continue to grow.

You will work closely with engineering leadership and software developers to modernize infrastructure practices, improve CI/CD pipelines, strengthen security posture, and establish scalable operational standards. This is a highly hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, solving complex infrastructure problems, and taking ownership across environments.

Our current stack includes PHP/Laravel applications, Docker, Apache/Nginx, MariaDB/MySQL, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS services, Linux servers, and multiple production and non-production environments.

Starting pay will be based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and improve scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure environments
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation workflows
  • Improve deployment reliability, rollback strategies, and environment consistency
  • Manage and optimize Linux servers, Docker environments, web servers, and databases
  • Work with our Security Analyst to monitor system health, uptime, logs, performance, and alerting
  • Assist with cloud infrastructure management and automation within AWS
  • Collaborate with developers to improve local development environments and deployment workflows
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production performance issues
  • Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures
  • Assist with onboarding engineers and improving development operations processes
  • Help establish DevOps standards, tooling, and long-term infrastructure strategy

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles
  • Strong experience with Linux server administration
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure providers
  • Experience with web servers such as Apache or Nginx
  • Experience with MySQL/MariaDB administration and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, SSL/TLS, DNS, backups, and monitoring
  • Experience with Git and modern version control workflows
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership mentality

  • Experience with PHP/Laravel environments
  • Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Redis, load balancing, or caching technologies
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
  • Experience with Jira and Agile workflows
  • Experience supporting SaaS applications in production environments
  • Local candidate preferred, but open to fully remote

Job Type:

Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekends as needed
  • On-call availability for critical production issues when necessary

Education:

Associate degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience:

3-5 years experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or related field
