Commercial Fleet Maintenance Manager

R & J Trucking Inc. is a private family-owned business and leader in the bulk commodity transport Industry. We have (19) terminals and operate in all (48) contiguous states plus Canada. We operate late model Peterbilt, Mack and International trucks.

We are celebrating (60) years of reliable service and satisfied customers.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 7:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a team of diesel technicians and support staff
• Oversee daily operations and implement strategic maintenance plans
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and compliance
• Coordinate roadside assistance and emergency response plans
• Monitor and evaluate team performance using data-driven reports
• Manage parts inventory and ordering using VMRS coding
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Collaborate with the Warranty Department to process claims efficiently
• Maintain accurate records using a Fleet Management Information System (FMIS)
• Ensure daily completion of digital DVIRs
• Stay compliant with FMCSA/DOT regulations
• Work closely with Terminal Management, Dispatch, and Corporate Leadership

Fleet Maintenance Manager Qualification:

• 1 or more years of experience managing commercial fleet maintenance required.
• 3+ years of experience managing commercial fleet maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and FMIS software
• Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
