Dietetic Technician – Hospital Dietary Services

Location: New York, NY
Contract Length: 8 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Dietetic Technician to support hospital dietary services within a clinical healthcare environment. This role involves assisting with nutrition services, feeding management systems, dietary documentation, and food safety compliance while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient meal planning, dietary support, and nutrition-related services
• Utilize feeding management systems and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and tracking
• Maintain compliance with hospital dietary procedures and food safety standards
• Support specialized feeding preparation and mixing room operations as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients, dietary staff, and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate dietary records, calculations, and inventory documentation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree required
• Nutrition or related field coursework preferred
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nutrition-related experience required OR current enrollment in an approved nutrition-related educational program
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills required
