We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer/Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide ServiceNow solutions in a regulated environment. This role requires a strong blend of technical architecture expertise and hands-on development, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
- Define and maintain ServiceNow platform architecture aligned with industry best practices
- Ensure alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards
- Drive long-term platform scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Design and develop custom applications and workflows within ServiceNow
- Create and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Client Scripts
- Utilize JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow development tools
- Implement security protocols, including ACLs, encryption, and secure coding practices
- Ensure compliance with regulated and secure cloud environments
- Maintain adherence to data protection and governance standards
- Design and implement integrations with third-party systems
- Utilize tools such as IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, MID Servers, REST/SOAP APIs
- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Establish and enforce development standards and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and ensure overall platform health
- Maintain upgradeability and performance optimization
- Work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams
- Translate requirements into technical designs and solution architectures
- Lead technical discussions and solution design sessions
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and architecture experience
- Expert-level proficiency in:
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- ServiceNow tools (Studio, UI Builder, Service Portal)
- Strong understanding of:
- CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
- ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping)
- Experience working in regulated or government cloud environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in Columbus, OH
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM or ITOM preferred
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or equivalent
- Security certification (e.g., Security+)
