North Country Academy Chartered Public School (NCACPS) is seeking a full-time candidate to join its team and be part of a unique educational entity that prides itself on collaboration and teamwork of 12 staff members.
Responsible for overseeing accounting practices and HR operations. Duties include, Bi-weekly payroll, Grants Management, assisting with annual operating budget, accounts payable/receivable, reconciling all bank accounts and federal and state grants, preparing for annual audits, filing monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and financial reports.
Skill requirements: strong accounting background, proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Description
Job Title: Accounting/Business Manager
Reports To: Principal
Qualifications:
1. In depth experience and knowledge of accounting practices
2. Strong computer skills
3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details and accuracy.
4. Time management skills for adapting and meeting deadlines.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficient in QuickBooks
7. Ability to work as a team player in a positive and enthusiastic environment.
8. Willing to attend training seminars and webinars related to office procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
1. Accounts Receivable – Cash management and monthly billing
2. Accounts Payable - weekly payment of necessary invoices
3. Process payroll and complete all state and federal reports
4. Account Reconciliation throughout the year
5. Maintain General Ledger
6. Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Financial Reports
7. Reconcile bank statements, transfer funds, make bank deposits and maintain all cash
accounts.
8. Prepare records for the annual audit
9. Assist Superintendent with all aspects of annual budgets
10. Grant Management
11. Assist Superintendent in preparing for and attending board meetings, prepare and submit board meeting minutes.
12. Reconcile and replenish funds in petty cash.
13. Maintain business office in a professional and courteous manner.
14. Work collaboratively with all staff, regional school districts, and board members
15. Establish and maintain business filing system
16. Prepare informational materials for staff
18. Draft and prepare typewritten correspondence assigned by the Superintendent
19. Order supplies as needed for staff
20. Prepare NHDOE Reporting - Quarterly reports, annual staffing reports, MS-DOE25
