Chem Gro of Houghton, Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Seed Sales Representative to support our seed business in Southeast Iowa. This role combines sales, customer support, technical service, and operational responsibilities, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys working directly with growers while also supporting day-to-day seed operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Provide year-round support and service to seed customers
- Maintain accurate computer records for sales, deliveries, and inventory tracking
- Manage seed treatment operations
- Calibrate yield monitors and perform weigh checks as needed
- Provide technical support for Climate FieldView customers
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications Preferred
- Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements (or willingness to obtain)
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License (or willingness to obtain)
- Agricultural background or experience in seed sales, agronomy, or production agriculture preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable and experienced in agricultural technology platforms
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and provide excellent customer service
- Willingness to work in both office and field environments
