What You’ll Do As a key member of our maintenance team, you will preserve the functionality of our automation technology through:
- Expert Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- System Maintenance: Performing preventative maintenance and upgrades on machinery and conveyor systems to ensure peak performance.
- Precision Work: Utilizing PLC programs and maintenance software (Go Canvas) to track work orders and manage inventory.
- Collaborative Innovation: Working alongside engineers to evaluate system performance and build better processes.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience as an Automation Technician.
- Education: A two-year technical degree or equivalent certification in automation or building maintenance technology.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of electricity and hydraulics, with the ability to read complex electrical and pneumatic drawings.
- PLC Skills: Practical experience connecting to PLCs to troubleshoot failures and make minor code changes.
- Physical Readiness: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on elevated platforms/lifts, and navigate a distribution environment.

Responsibilities
System Maintenance & Repair
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks and machine upgrades to ensure consistent functionality.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conveyor Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot automation conveyor systems to ensure they remain in service.
- System Testing: Conduct performance tests to evaluate the effectiveness of automated systems.
Operational Support
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to facility emergencies and notify the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineers to build and improve equipment processes.
- Administrative Tracking: Maintain accurate work orders and monitor spare parts inventory using the Go Canvas maintenance system.
Safety & Compliance
- Regulation Adherence: Survey the building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet all health and safety regulations.
- Safety Protocols: Follow all established safety protocols and observe health guidelines while working autonomously.
- Safe Operation: Demonstrate the skills necessary to perform all duties in a safe, efficient, and professional manner without assistance.
Facility Access
- Equipment Operation: Utilize boom-lifts and scissor lifts to access building components or equipment located near the ceiling.
