Enterprise Charter School (ECS) Overview:

Enterprise is a public charter school in Buffalo, New York educating children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 2003, ECS is committed to "Engaging young minds through projects and partnerships."

We pursue our mission through our Charter's key design elements, with our primary focus on highly engaging project-based learning, comprehensive arts education, and individualized instruction for enrichment and acceleration. Enterprise Charter School is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN). The RN is responsible for the coordination of the health care needs of our students. The RN is responsible for staff training on health and medical issues, and for providing quality care for the students we serve. Must be licensed and currently registered as an RN in New York State.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated excellence in nursing

• A demonstrated interest in impacting K-8 students in urban schools and communities

• Ability to provide students with nursing services as outlined by New York State laws and regulations

• Ability to keep clinical records for students, including vaccination records, height, weight and other important information

• Ability to perform health screening, including vision and hearing screenings, to detect health problems early

• Understanding of chronic illnesses and disabilities

• Create and utilize individualized health plans for students with health care needs, and emergency care plans for school staff

• Skills in analyzing and using data to make medical decisions

Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System. Position starts at $67,000 higher rate based on experience.
