Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Secretary of State agency is seeking a skilled .NET developer to join our development team. In this role, you will build modern applications from the ground up and optimize and modernize existing systems. You will be a key contributor throughout the entire software development life cycle, ensuring quality applications that are secure and intuitive for end users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, code, and debug software applications using C# and the .NET framework.
  • Develop scalable, maintainable code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
  • Test and deploy applications while prioritizing performance, usability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot complex software issues and collaborate with a cross-functional team to enhance application features.

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience working with web development technologies and MVC
  • Knowledge of front-end UI technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript for web applications and Windows Forms for desktop applications
  • Database design skills and SQL proficiency
  • An understanding of RESTful API principles and JSON or XML formats
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Team Foundation Sever (TFS)
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
  • Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent vocational training and work experience
