Surgical Assistant – OR

Shift Options: Day Shift | 4x10s or 5x8s | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Surgical Assistant to support surgeons during complex operative procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates must have strong expertise in robotic and orthopedic surgery, sterile technique, wound closure, tissue handling, patient positioning, and intraoperative assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
• Provide exposure, retraction, suctioning, irrigation, and hemostasis
• Perform suturing, wound closure, dressing application, and postoperative support
• Assist with robotic, orthopedic, vein/radial artery harvesting, tendon, bone, and skin harvesting procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Surgical Assisting or accredited Surgical Assisting program
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and operative procedures
• Exceptional robotic and orthopedic surgery experience required

Preferred

• 4+ years of surgical assisting experience
• Specialty surgery experience preferred
• NSAA, CFA, NCCPA, or RNFA certifications preferred
