RN – Labor & Delivery (Local Contract)

Location: New York, NY 10037
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Schedule: 3 shifts per week | 34.5 hours/week (11.5-hour shifts)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform effectively in high-acuity situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and critical situations
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
• Administer medications and support conscious sedation as required
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery / Maternal & Child Health experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience with conscious sedation
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience in high-acuity hospital or acute care settings

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Primary Source Verification of NYS RN Registration (NYSED)
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS Certification
• NRP Certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
