Shipyard Electrician (Bilingual)

Job Description

The ideal candidate will perform shipyard industrial electrical projects along with shipyard production electrical projects. Job requirements include:

Perform installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems for production and facility projects.

Take appropriate corrective and proactive measures to maintain equipment availability.

Provide reliable service of electrical systems that will allow the shipyard to meet availability targets. Follow environmental and safety regulations and act in compliance with US laws. Prepare and/or study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and facility maps to ensure installation and operations conform to NEC and OSHA standards and shipyard requirements. Confer with supervisory representatives to discuss existing or potential electrical projects.

Experience with providing electrical maintenance and repair to marine vessels and/or industrial high voltage electrical experience a plus. The ability to work nights and weekends required. Shipyard or military experience a plus. College associate degree or technical training and three to five years of electrical experience required; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 3 years of high voltage industrial electrical experience Ability to work nights and weekends - OT Eligible Technical training or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Bilingual or Spanish a plus

SALARY

$26-$28 hourly
