Job Summary: In this full-time position, you would create a welcoming, comfortable environment for customers in the coffeehouse by providing fast and friendly service, quality products and a clean, safe cafe environment. Strives to make sure each customer is delighted by their experience at Glas from beginning to end. Ensures operations of coffeehouse run according to operational expectations. Works with vendors, places all food, drink, and other supply orders. Coordinates maintenance for café equipment as needed. Assists efforts to maximize revenue and control expenses at the location. Takes orders, prepares coffee and food, and collects payment. Helps promote Glas Cafes out in the community at events and promotional drops at local businesses. Helps create ways to invite customers into our Glas locations. Hourly wage would be between $12 - $12.50 + tips.

Responsibilities & Duties: - This role supports café operations by managing weekly ordering and monthly inventory and serves as the primary operational contact for that location
- Follows and insures operational guidelines including safety and sanitation are followed.
- Assists in providing new baristas with appropriate training on register, brewing coffee, constructing espresso drinks, tea, non-coffee drinks & food, cleaning, food safety, and good customer service.
- Have or acquire ServSafe licensure and assist with following health codes standards. Keeps the store clean, follows health code requirements.
- Brews coffee, constructs espresso drinks, tea, non-coffee drinks & food; and is knowledgeable about all of our offerings.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers who walk through our doors.
- Prepare and serve beverages and food items consistently by adhering to Glas procedures.
- Must enjoy a fast paced environment.
- Keeps the store clean, follows health code requirements.
- Stock work stations and prep work areas.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of food service experience, preferably in a coffee house setting.
- Completion of a barista trainee class, a credited sanitation course, and possession of a beverage operator license are preferred qualifications.
- Knowledge of common kitchen equipment and familiarity with office equipment such as phones and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers, demonstrating professionalism and interpersonal aptitude.
- Moderate math and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strong interpersonal skills, enjoy providing exceptional customer service, and are adept at multitasking would excel in this role.
