Fastener Engineer – Cold Heading Industry Location: Rockford, IL Schedule: On-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Salary: $80,000+ depending on experience About Us: Elite Fasteners is a small, family-owned manufacturer specializing in small-diameter fasteners in the cold heading industry. With a team of about 40 people, we operate like a tight-knit shop — everyone knows each other, your work is visible, and your contributions actually matter. We have a strong reputation for quality and precision, and we're looking to add an experienced engineer who fits that same standard. The Role: This is a hands-on technical position with no management responsibilities. You'll work as part of our engineering function, collaborating closely with production, quality, and sales to solve problems, support customers, and improve how we make parts. What You'll Do: Apply your cold heading knowledge to part development, tooling, and process challenges Support sales with quoting, feasibility, and customer technical questions Partner with quality to ensure specs are met and drive continuous improvement Serve as a strong technical resource across departments Find and implement process improvements that make us better and more efficient What We're Looking For: Experience in the cold heading or fastener industry — this is a must Solid understanding of cold heading processes and secondary operations Someone who communicates well and can work across departments Self-motivated and comfortable working in a small company environment Compensation & Benefits: $80,000+ based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off (PTO) How to Apply: Send your resume and cover letter to Tiffany@elitefasteners.com or apply online.
