This is a Full-Time Support Staff position at grade 15, with an annual salary range of $63,042 to $84,056. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Experience in Ellucian Colleague and Desire2Learn (D2L) is preferred
1. Ensure that students with disabilities are provided the assistive technology they need to access their course(s).
2. Design, develop, and deliver one-on-one or small group presentations on assistive technology for students with learning, visual, hearing, physical, and other disabilities.
3. Assess student technological skill levels and verify eligibility for assistive technology usage. Determine and recommend appropriate assistive technology to students; assist students in accessing course materials and textbooks using assistive technology.
4. Develop training materials and train students on how to use assistive technology specific to access course materials and textbooks. Manage the Alternate Format Textbook (AFT) Production Program, which includes therequest system and the quality assurance of materials in various formats, including e-text, e-music, Braille, tactile graphics, enlarged print, etc.
5. Prepare print materials for electronic conversion. This includes scanning and reassembling any students' copies into a reusable print or digital format to accommodate eligible students.
6. Remediate materials, including textbooks, for accessibility.
7. Collaborate with Student Access & Disability Services employees to provide specialized Testing Accommodations, which includes enabling the use of assistive technology, scheduling private testing rooms, reading tests, and scribing for students’ tests.
8. Collaborate with staff, faculty, administrators, and external service providers to ensure provision of reasonable accommodations. Adhere to and keep current with ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other applicable laws, regulations, and best practices pertaining to students with disabilities in higher education.
9. Maintain accurate case files and required data for reporting system(s) to ensure student progress is documented and compliant with applicable regulations. Submit accurate and timely reports to the director. Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and adhere to ethical standards.
10. Follow all College policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines as they relate to this position.
11. Actively participate on and lead various teams or committees.
12. Participate in/support professional development activities (e.g., Webinar recordings, training installation and setup, team and/or group trainings, etc.)
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
