Project Manager / Design & Layout
Fire Rover, LLC seeks candidates to serve as one of our company’s Project Managers, providing design, drafting and technical review of new projects. This position will serve as project manager for assigned installation projects, working with customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure a smooth and timely completion of the project.
You will be challenged to think creatively, to problem solve and future-proof our products and services. We seek an individual who is proactive, with the ability to plan, assess risks and envision new opportunities for product development and service improvement. The qualified candidate will be called upon to provide critical oversight of the Fire Rover system design and production processes, and the creation of schematics, manuals, and best-practices to ensure the effectiveness of Fire Rover systems deployed in the field, and code compliance of the system with local authorities.
The selected candidate must have strong ability to think critically to support our products, services, and overall company vision. A strong customer-orientation and exemplary customer services skills are required. The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve our company’s reputation and business.
Three years of work experience in project management / layout & design is preferred. In addition, qualified applicants must demonstrate knowledge, proven experience, and skill in the following areas:
· Strong analytical skills – fire hazard analysis
· Fire protection system design, evaluation, and consultation - THIS IS NOT REQUIRED BUT A BONUS IF APPLICABLE
· Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
· Attention to detail and documentation skills
· Demonstrated ability to manage and partner with third parties to develop and deliver business solutions
· An inquisitive mind/a team-oriented participant in research & development
· An understanding of mechanical equipment design, manufacturing, and fabrication
· Demonstrate a strong customer service focus
Responsibilities
· Create site designs for installation of Fire Rover systems in high-risk application environments
· Develop product or system concepts and draft detailed designs as required
· Maintain records of design processes in accordance with sound design practices
· Manage and coordinate Fire Rover installation projects
· Coordinate safety and regulatory compliance activities
· Prepare and write detailed product, technical and operational reports as warranted
· Conduct research, analyze and recommend product improvements to improve system design and effectiveness
· Provide documentation supporting client’s permitting activities indicating conformance to NFPA and local code standards
· Determine the best solution, based on the issue and details provided by customers or local code officers
· Identify and suggest possible improvements for products, procedures and system operation
· Interact and assist the R & D/Product Improvement Processes
Requirements
· Ability to multi-task, produce documents and coordinate with other trades and third-party vendors
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Proven project management skills
· Proven problem-solving skills
· A working knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes
· Strong organization skills
· US citizenship required
· A willingness to travel within North America and Canada
· Valid Passport is required
