Role: 1 x Fixed Term Teaching Assistant / Kaiāwhina Hours: 29 Hours Starting: Monday 20th July Finishing Friday 30th October Remuneration: Grade BC, Step 1, $27.25 per hour (Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement 2026-2028) Onslow College is a coeducational, state school in Te Whanganui a Tara, Wellington that upholds the values of manaakitanga, pursuing growth, whanaungatanga, valuing diversity, and kaitiakitanga. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant / Kaiāwhina to join our learning support team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with a genuine passion for inclusive education. You will be joining a highly supportive and collaborative department, working alongside kaiako (teachers) to support our ākonga (students) across all year levels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of, and commitment to, inclusive practices, helping us ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. Previous experience working with students with a range of learning challenges is desirable, but it is not essential. A positive, relational approach and a passion for supporting young people are paramount.
