JOB DESCRIPTION:
Recognize, articulate, and make technical decisions / trade-offs around multiple dimensions (scaling, reliability, performance, maintenance, etc.), that have an impact on the team. Design, develop, test, and debug software applications. Deliver software on time and constantly work to make accurate estimates and deliver on those estimates. Understand and proactively follow team processes, documentation, best practices, and code style guides. Remain persistent in the face of roadblocks. Dispatch efficiently, pulling in others, as necessary. Provide technical support of products including direct customer support and escalating issues. Communicate technical work through design docs and tech talks. Insightful feedback on pulls requests, engineering designs, and features. Expand the working knowledge of respective technical domain. Act as an effective technical mentor for one or more junior developers and provide technical guidance across the team take an active role in recruiting new team members and new developers in general. Telecommuting: Hybrid - 50% in office.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Math, Engineering (any), or in a related field and 8 years of experience as a Software Developer, Computer Programmer, or in a related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with the following skills: (1) Developing software in major object-oriented programming languages such as C++, C#/.NET, and JavaScript; (2) Building and designing large connected systems including devices, servers, and cloud (Azure, Google, AWS) environments; (3) Leading, ownership and delivery of multiple mission-critical, high complexity products or services with a large impact on both the organization's business and technical direction; (4) Designing and building microservices; (5) SQL and NoSQL databases; (6) Recognizing, articulating, and making technical decisions / trade-offs around multiple dimensions (scaling, reliability, performance, maintenance, etc.); (7) Designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications; and (8) Using Azure Dev Ops or similar system to manage Continuous Integration and Delivery of software.
RATE OF PAY: $ 153,358- $ 207,000 per year
