UX/UI Designer

A fully remote Designer is needed to support an Ed Tech product team through September. This role focuses on creating thoughtful, user-centered solutions across information architecture, user flows, and interaction design. The designer will partner closely with research and product stakeholders to translate insights into effective web and mobile experiences.

The Basics

Duration: 4 months

Hours per week: Approximately 40 hours per week

Location requirements: Fully remote

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product development, user experience design, or product design within creative or marketing-focused environments
  • Strong knowledge of software usability principles and current interface design trends
  • Advanced, hands-on experience with UX wireframing, visual design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Axure, Penpot, or similar
  • Deep understanding of responsive design approaches across web and mobile platforms
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments
  • Portfolio showcasing web and mobile design work, including process, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with UX Research to review and apply existing user research, insights, and performance metrics
  • Design and build user flows, wireframes, design concepts, and interactive prototypes
  • Present design work to peers, stakeholders, and leadership, clearly articulating design rationale and decisions
  • Develop consistent design patterns grounded in research findings and established best practices
