Job Description
We are seeking a Manager of Disaster Recovery & Incident Response to serve as an incident commander and operational leader for major IT incidents and disaster recovery events. This role owns real-time incident coordination, disaster recovery execution, and enterprise readiness across a large, tiered application environment.
The ideal candidate has strong experience leading high-severity incidents, coordinating cross-functional IT and business teams, and driving recovery efforts from activation through post-incident remediation. This individual will operate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, partner closely with executive leadership, and help mature disaster recovery into a repeatable, auditable, and trusted capability.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in high-pressure environments, communicates confidently with senior leaders, and brings strong operational discipline to crisis response and recovery.

Skills and Requirements
8+ years of experience in IT operations, disaster recovery, major incident management, or service management
Proven experience acting as an incident commander or major incident leader
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams during high-pressure incidents
Strong working knowledge of:
Disaster recovery and business continuity principles
Application tiering and dependency management
Infrastructure and application recovery strategies
Proven ability to drive execution, accountability, and remediation through influence
Comfortable holding operational command responsibility during major incidents and declared disasters - Experience in healthcare, regulated, or audit-driven environments
Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 22301, NIST, or similar frameworks
Experience supporting large, complex, tiered application portfolios
Experience coordinating with third-party vendors during outages or recovery events
Background participating in or leading DR testing, tabletop exercises, or simulations
