DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a motivated and creative self-starter with a passion for public library service to join our team! Serving an active engaged community of 34,000 in the South Hills, our full-time Senior Services Librarian will develop a diverse range of exciting opportunities for our senior patrons, including bus trips, speakers, wellness programs, hands-on learning, senior STEM, and outreach to community partners. Additionally, librarians in this position contribute to our diverse and dynamic materials collection, provide reader’s advisory and reference, and collaborate with other librarians on library- and community-wide initiatives and large events.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be frequently required to move and/or lift materials up to 25 pounds and push a loaded book truck weighing up to 300 pounds; regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, climb, balance, and sit; operate a keyboard at efficient speed and typical office equipment, including computer hardware; regularly required to talk and/or hear; use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Vision and hearing at or correctable to "normal ranges.” This position requires full time in person work at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library, and may occasionally be required to attend off-site meetings.
