Salon Sales Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Salon Sales Representative to manage and grow our professional beauty business throughout Metro West/Metro Boston. This role is ideal for a dynamic sales professional with a passion for the salon industry, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue through education, service, and strategic selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with salon owners, stylists, and key decision-makers
  • Actively prospect and open new salon accounts within the assigned territory
  • Drive sales growth by promoting professional haircare, color, and styling product lines
  • Educate clients on product knowledge, promotions, and industry trends
  • Conduct in-salon demonstrations, classes, and product trainings
  • Execute monthly sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Maintain consistent communication through in-person visits, calls, and digital outreach
  • Collaborate with internal teams (education, marketing, customer service) to support client success
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the territory
  • Manage inventory recommendations and ensure proper merchandising in salons

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience (beauty/salon industry strongly preferred)
  • Cosmetology license is a plus but not required
  • Strong knowledge of professional haircare products and salon operations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Lower Connecticut
