Data Center Technician

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Technician to sit onsite at an Automotive client in Buffalo, New York. You will be responsible for hardware deployment and operations, working with operating systems, and processing tickets.

(This role can pay $60-65 per hour depending on years of experience).

Skills and Requirements

-5 years of experience in a large scale data center environment

-Linux experience

-Hardware deployment experience (CPU/GPU/Network) -- Rack and Stack and cable)

• Fiber cabling experience

• Hands on exposure to DC Operations tools.

-Experience identifying connectivity issues such as bad SFP's, fiber cables or device configurations

-Work DCIM and DSO-I tickets for cable installation and any troubleshooting

• Familiarity with operating and storage systems

-Understanding the DC Layout (Rack/PDU/Cable Tray/Wire Management -Hands on experience being a part of a data center build from the ground up
