Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks Contract
Shift: Day Shift | Monday – Friday
Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an outpatient clinical setting in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment providing direct patient care and clinical support.
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain patient history and record vital signs
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures
- Maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and clinical supplies
- Prepare charts and complete clinical documentation
- Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations
- Utilize EMR systems for patient documentation
- Support daily nursing operations and patient workflow
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Experience in outpatient or acute care setting required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Experience obtaining vital signs and assisting with examinations
- English proficiency required
- EMR experience
- Insurance authorization/referral coordination experience
- Outpatient clinic experience
- BLS (AHA) preferred
