Orange Hat Brewing is seeking a hardworking, dependable, and passionate Full-Time Assistant Brewer to join our production team. This role supports all aspects of brewery operations including brewing, cellar work, packaging, cleaning, inventory organization, and general production support.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in producing high-quality craft beer.

Key ResponsibilitiesBrewing & Cellar Operations

• Assist with wort production, brewhouse operations, and recipe execution
• Support fermentation management including gravity checks, dry hopping, transfers, and yeast handling
• Clean and sanitize tanks, hoses, kegs, and brewing equipment
• Assist with CIP procedures and brewery maintenance
• Monitor and record brewing and cellar data accurately
• Line Maintenance
• Assist with wholesale deliveries

Packaging & Production

• Assist with kegging, canning, labeling, and packaging operations
• Maintain organized cold storage and inventory areas
• Prepare raw materials and brewing ingredients for production runs
• Help manage grain handling and spent grain disposal

Quality & Safety

• Follow brewery SOPs and quality control standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adhere to all OSHA and food safety guidelines
• Identify and communicate equipment or quality concerns promptly

Team & Culture

• Work collaboratively with brewing and taproom staff
• Occasionally assist with brewery events and festivals
• Represent Orange Hat Brewing with professionalism and positivity

Qualifications

• Previous brewery experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift 55+ lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable working in wet, hot, cold, and physically demanding environments
• Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented
• Flexible schedule including occasional evenings or weekends

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Typically 40 hours per week
• Weekend and event availability may occasionally be required
