Group Lead Shift: 3:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Evening/Overnight Shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production activities in assigned work areas to ensure continuous product flow according to build schedules
- Communicate work instructions to operators and production staff in alignment with supervisory direction
- Ensure daily production and quality targets are consistently met
- Conduct regular process audits, quality checks, and performance evaluations of personnel, tools, and equipment
- Monitor work-in-process (WIP) inventory and track daily output quantities
- Support and provide hands-on training to production operators as needed
- Provide feedback on defects and assist with retraining to improve performance and reduce errors
- Assist in expediting priority orders and urgent production tasks
- Inspect rejected components and determine disposition following established procedures and documentation
- Support direct manufacturing operations when required to meet production schedules
- Identify and report equipment issues or failures to supervision and appropriate contacts
- Coordinate purchase requests for equipment, tools, and services as needed
- Participate in daily team meetings with manufacturing operators to improve communication and continuous improvement
- Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration records/stickers are current and compliant
- Conduct 5S audits and participate in weekly value stream and team lead meetings
- Support BBSP observations and assist with employee needs, including training and self-service support
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts to prevent recurring issues
- Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and company policies
- Maintain positive communication and collaboration with employees, contractors, customers, and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lead, train, and support team members effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA-regulated environments, or QMS standards is a plus
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production floor setting
- Fast-paced environment requiring attention to safety, quality, and deadlines
- Evening/overnight shift schedule (3:00 PM – 2:30 AM)
