Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer / Global Support Manager
Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer / Support Manager to provide technical development and functional analysis support within an enterprise applications environment. The role involves working under a team lead to design, develop, test, and maintain SAP solutions, particularly within financial and logistics domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ABAP development, configuration, tuning, and administration across SAP FI, Treasury, and Logistics modules
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level SAP applications
- Provide ongoing production support, enhancements, and troubleshooting
- Develop business requirements, test cases, training materials, and deliver end-user training
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners during development and testing phases
- Monitor performance and optimize SAP applications
- Mentor junior team members on SAP programming concepts and tools
- Participate in team planning and project activities
- Support system upgrades, support packs, and validation testing
- Assist with system architecture, hardware specifications, and implementation roadmaps
- Work with integration technologies including SAP PI, CPI, SOA, Web Services, IDOCs, RFCs, SOAP, and REST APIs
- Develop and execute unit tests and test scripts
- Provide after-hours support as required
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of SAP ABAP solution architecture experience
- 10+ years of SAP ABAP development (analysis, design, development)
- 10+ years of experience with SAP ECC FI module
- Strong experience with:
- SAP Web Application Server
- Object-oriented ABAP programming
- ABAP Unit and shared memory objects
- Custom reports and dialog programming
- ABAP WebDynpro applications
- BAPI/RFC development
- SAP Enhancement Framework and ABAP Workbench
- Extensive experience with:
- System upgrades, OSS notes, and support packs
- Troubleshooting and performance tuning
- SAP implementations in public sector environments
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with WRICEF development in ECC 6.0, SRM, and BW
- Experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Project)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
