JOB TITLE: Community Based Service Technician
DEPARTMENT: Industrial Services
SUPERVISOR'S TITLE: Work Services Program Manager
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Persons Served
JOB STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
Provide supervision and coordination of community-based services for individuals receiving Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). This role supports individuals in community and work-based settings by promoting skill development, independence, and meaningful participation.
Community-Based Service Coordination - Supervise and coordinate services in accordance with HCBS requirements
- Support individuals in community-based work and skill-building activities
- Ensure services align with each individual’s Person-Centered Individual Support Plan (PCISP)
- Promote independence, community integration, and meaningful daily activities
Client Support & Development - Provide direct supervision and support to individuals served
- Assist in implementing and maintaining individualized support plans
- Collaborate with case managers to support goal development and progress monitoring
- Provide support during non-work activities when needed to meet individual goals
- Model appropriate work behaviors and life skills
Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate daily service and activity records
- Complete required documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise, train, and support individuals effectively
- Ability to work independently in community-based settings
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with team members and external partners
- Demonstrated empathy and professionalism when working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work in community and production-related environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Exposure to varying environments, including community sites
- Ability to follow safety procedures in environments with potential hazards
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification
- Certified Restraint Training
- Core A & B certification
- Completion of required agency and regulatory trainings (e.g., Human Rights, Safety, Medication Administration)
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification

Education/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
One year experience in industry of facility setting preferred.
One year (+) of college in related area would be accepted in lieu of experience.
