Truck driver

SG Cartage Limited is seeking an experienced and reliable Truck Driver to join our Auckland-based operations. This is a full-time permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: *Driving and operating heavy vehicles (Class 4 or Class 5) to transport goods and materials *Loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and load security *Delivering aggregate, hot mix, and other construction materials to worksites *Checking vehicle condition before operation and performing routine maintenance checks *Ensuring compliance with road transport regulations and safety requirements *Maintaining accurate driving logs, delivery records, and documentation *Manoeuvring vehicles safely, including reversing and positioning at worksites *Assisting with general labouring duties at worksites where required *Operating related equipment where necessary (e.g. tip trucks or spreads) Skills & Experience Required: * Valid New Zealand Class 4 or Class 5 driver licence (or overseas equivalent eligible for conversion) * At least 1 year of relevant truck driving experience * Strong reversing skills and spatial awareness * Physically fit and safety-conscious * Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsements preferred but not mandatory. Additional Information: * Full-time permanent role * Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed * Work based in Auckland * Occasional travel outside Auckland may be required * Accommodation and transport provided for out-of-town work where applicable This role is suited to a reliable and motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
