About the Role:
The Data Center Structural Engineer will beresponsible for overseeing projects from master planning to construction. Thisincludes reviewing and representing program directives, providing input onArchitect/Engineer (A/E) designs, ensuring compliance with client requirements,and guiding consultants to meet project goals and design standards. TheStructural Engineer will also provide recommendations and problem solvestructural issues for hyperscale data centers, which includes suggestingalternatives to bring the design into alignment with the programs’ objectives. What You’ll Do:
Utilize structural engineeringexpertise for design-related activities associated with data center sites orprojects.
Collaborate with clientstakeholder groups, design consultants, construction management firms, andcontractors to execute design and construction contracts.
Provide engineering guidance andconduct reviews of structural engineering building, foundation and conveyancedesign and provide constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with projectobjectives.
Contribute to the development ofstructural engineering guidelines, design standards and specifications.
Review reports, such asgeotechnical, foundation and structural reports and calculations to ensure therequirements are being met.
Express complex ideas in a concisemanner through all forms of digital mediums (design drawings, presentations,video conference) both internally and with external parties.
Manage all areas of projectmanagement for multiple real estate projects. This includes planning, design,construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Work directly with clients toprepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, projectdelivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule& milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
Define the project deliveryresources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualificationprocess. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, andrecommend resources to clients.
Facilitate the development of acharter and integrated timeline.
Ensure all functions remain onschedule and issues get resolved or escalated.
Facilitate regular meetings toreview project status for active and pending projects.
Collaborate to develop solutionsand guide the project team through implementation and completion.
Apply advanced knowledge to seekand develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual anddepartment objectives.
Showcase expertise in own jobdiscipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within theorganization function.
Coach others to develop in-depthknowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
Lead by example and modelbehaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potentialobjections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergentinterest, to adopt a different point of view.
Impact the achievement ofcustomer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-disciplineteams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design ofprocedures and policies.
Contribute to new products,processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achievingfunctional goals.
Communicate difficult and complexideas with the ability to influence.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $190,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
