A veterinary hospital is seeking a Medical Director (DVM) to lead its small animal practice. About the Role

  • Provide medical, surgical, and preventive care for small animal patients
  • Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff
  • Establish and maintain clinical protocols and standards of care
  • Collaborate with leadership on hospital operations and growth initiatives
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and mentorship-driven culture
  • Practice with autonomy while supported by strong operational resources

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical procedures
  • Oversee quality of care and patient outcomes
  • Support team development, training, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and best practices
  • Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and education

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active or eligible veterinary license
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Leadership experience or interest in a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
