Position Summary

The Department of Communication and Media Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a hull-time Lecturer position in Communication to begin Fall 2026. A typical load for a half-time faculty member at North Central is two 4 credit-hour courses per semester. Successful candidates must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students and a commitment to departmental service.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Communication, Rhetoric, or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching public speaking at the college level
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Applicants with experience teaching first-year students
  • Interest in assisting North Central's award-winning speech team
Salary Range:

The budgeted salary range for this position is $23,000 - $25,000.
