Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace / Hydraulics)
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of precision components used in aerospace and defense applications. This role will play a key part in new product development, taking ownership from concept through production, while working closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams. 100% Onsite (Manufacturing Environment)
Key Responsibilities
Develop conceptual designs from customer specifications for new product initiatives
Take full ownership of mechanical design and development efforts from concept through production readiness
Generate and release all required drawings, models, and documentation
Perform engineering analyses including:
Tolerance studies
Structural and dynamic analysis (FEA)
Hydraulic system analysis
Develop qualification test plans and procedures (shock, vibration, environmental, endurance)
Serve as a technical interface with customers for new and legacy products
Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement for existing designs
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for producibility
Top Requirements (Must-Haves)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools)
Experience with hydraulics and/or pneumatics design
Understanding of mechanical components used in aerospace manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ideal Candidate

Analytical thinker with hands-on engineering curiosity
Proactive communicator who asks questions and drives solutions
Experience in aerospace or similar high-spec industries preferred
Preferred Skills
Experience with ANSYS or similar FEA tools
background in vibration, shock, or environmental testing
Experience writing technical reports and test documentation
Familiarity with aerospace qualification standards
Hands-on experience with mechanical testing or lab environments

Split between engineering workspace and manufacturing floor
Exposure to CNC machining, assembly operations, and testing environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
