JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global's engineering consulting firm client is seeking an IT Support Administrator to join their staff out of their New York City office. This individual should be a highly skilled, customer-focused IT professional who serves as the senior escalation point for end-user support within a 170+ person engineering firm, prioritizing clear communication and full ownership of issue resolution. Operating in a Microsoft-centric environment (Windows, M365, Azure), this role focuses on deeply understanding systems managed by external consultants and ensuring a seamless experience for internal users when standard help desk support falls short.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex end-user IT issues across Windows, M365, and Azure environments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues involving endpoints, authentication, cloud applications, and connectivity

Partner with external consultants while maintaining documentation, supporting user lifecycle processes, and ensuring effective communication and support readiness

Skills and Requirements

MUST HAVES:

  • 5-7+ years of IT support experience

  • Advanced proficiency within the MS Suite, Windows OS, Azure AD/Entra ID

? Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive

End-user support experience in a similarly sized environment PLUSSES:

  • Experience being the main point of contact for an office

Experience within the engineering/construction industry
