Position Description:

The candidate for this role will be expected to be onsite five days a week at our client site in Pittsburgh PA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications supporting document management and content processing workflows

. Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot

. Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks

. Integrate applications with enterprise document management platforms and external systems

. Develop and maintain:

o Document ingestion workflows

o Metadata management capabilities

o Document retrieval and search services

o Customer-facing document access solutions

. Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

. Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices

. Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and production issues

. Support CI/CD automation and DevOps practices

. Contribute to system modernization and cloud adoption initiatives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 6+ years of strong hands-on experience with:

o Java (Java 8/11/17+)

o Spring Boot

o REST API development

o Microservices architecture

. 6+ years of experience with:

o Hibernate / JPA

o Distributed systems and asynchronous processing

. Strong understanding of:

o Object-oriented programming

o Design patterns

o Secure application development

Frontend Development

. 6+ years of strong experience with modern frontend technologies such as:

o Angular

o React

o JavaScript / TypeScript

. 6+ years of experience building:

o Responsive web applications

o Enterprise UI components

. Understanding of:

o State management

o API integration

o Frontend performance optimization

Database & Integration Skills

. Strong SQL and database skills:

o Oracle

o SQL Server

o PostgreSQL

o DB2

. 6+ years of experience integrating with:

o APIs

o External enterprise systems

o Authentication and authorization services

DevOps & Engineering Practices

. Experience with:

o Git and version control

o CI/CD pipelines

o Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab

. Familiarity with:

o Docker

o Kubernetes

o Linux/Unix environments

Desired Skills:

. Experience working with enterprise document management / ECM platforms such as: OpenText, IBM File Net, Hyland OnBase, AEM or Sharepoint

. Familiarity with Document ingestion and retrieval, metadata management, search and indexing and document management lifecycle

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,800.00 - $156,700.00.
