Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload packages using manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and security of all items.
- Drive assigned routes efficiently, maintaining accurate delivery schedules and ensuring timely arrival at each stop.
- Interact with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns with a positive attitude.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation throughout the shift.
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery when required, documenting all deliveries accurately in company systems.
- Assist with tasks such as sorting packages, organizing inventory, and preparing shipments for daily routes.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier roles, with a strong focus on route driving efficiency and safety.
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and community members.
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform manual labor involving moving items safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
