The Town of Hartford is seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as both Human Resources Director and Executive Assistant to the Town Manager. This full-time, exempt position performs a wide range of executive and administrative functions while directing all aspects of Human Resources for approximately 140 employees across ten departments. Key responsibilities include negotiating and managing employee benefits, supporting collective bargaining, risk management, personnel policy development, recruitment and retention, budget support, producing the annual Town Report, and providing high-level support to the Town Manager. The ideal candidate must have strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with staff, unions, and retirees.
Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in a related field and at least three years of progressive supervisory or managerial experience in a public or responsible business setting. Pay range is $42.61 to $59.61 per hour.
