Production Planner

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedule for the manufacturing of tunable optical filter chips
  • Monitor production progress and adjust production schedules to address priority changes, delays, and equipment downtime
  • Manage wafer and chip inventory, conduct physical counts, and maintain accurate records of products
  • Coordinate material requirements and procurements to ensure adequate production resources
  • Inspect and prepare products for shipping to customers

Education

  • BS in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field

Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning or similar role
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle and SAP
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or other data analysis tools
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage production in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to coordinate with team members and ensure production efficiency and optimal resource utilization

Working Conditions

  • This position is on-site
  • May require occasional off-site meetings or travel
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
  • Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
  • May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive’s needs

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
