Child Care Worker

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and caring childcare worker to join our team and help us create a warm and secure environment for the children in our community. The childcare worker will be responsible for supervising and engaging children alongside nursery volunteers in activities during morning church services, ensuring their safety and well-being while parents participate in church activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for children during church services, events, and programs.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Attend to children's basic needs, such as feeding, diapering, and restroom breaks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area.
• Communicate effectively with parents and church staff regarding children's needs and concerns.
• Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed.
• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled childcare hours.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in childcare or related field is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to interact with children of various ages and backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Part-time position, primarily on weekends and occasionally during special church events.
• Work is performed indoors within a childcare facility.
• May require lifting and carrying children or equipment.
