CNC Programmer
Job Description
This role requires strong expertise in CNC Programming/Machining and the application of CAD/CAM and solid mechanical principles to create complex setups.
Responsibilities
Review 3D designs, engineering drawings, models, and samples for CNC machining operations.
Create CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to support 3 Axis Vertical Milling Center, with Fanuc and/or Haas experience being advantageous.
Collaborate extensively with Engineering and QARA to meet manufacturing operations and quality requirements.
Make improvements to the setup process to enhance efficiency and output by reducing setup time and scrap.
Adhere to production schedules and report material shortages or assembly issues.
Maintain the program library and data server by ensuring that the most current programs are posted and up to date.
Assist in the design and acquisition of custom and off-the-shelf tooling and fixturing.
Support operators in setting up tooling and machines for first part inspection, and operate CNC machines as needed.
Complete accurate inspection reports for each production run.
Demonstrate the ability to set up tools, make tool offsets, and complete tool changes independently.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintain daily PM logs, and ensure a clean work area.
Proficiently use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Properly start-up, set up, operate, clean, shut down the CNC machine, and lock out equipment when applicable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
